La Potinière

Half an hour outside of Edinburgh and surrounded by some of Scotland’s finest golf courses, including Muirfield, La Potinière offers fine dining using the best, seasonal ingredients. The menu served in the smart yet cosy and homely dining room is concise with four courses and a maximum of two choices at each course. And what you lack in choice is made up by the sheer quality of the dishes and fusion of flavours. After enjoying one of two starters followed by Thai coconut soup with poached scallops, one might choose from either braised fillet of halibut with crushed baby new potatoes, seasonal vegetables Noilly Pratt and pink peppercorn sauce or poached and seared fillet of Scotch beef with a truffle mash, summer vegetables and beef, shallot and Scottish girolle sauce.
