Eating in the Olga Polizzi-designed dining room with its mosaic floor and tongue and groove walls is an equal delight. The daily changing menu highlights the best local seafood such as oysters with a Bloody Mary shot; langoustine tails with baby gem salad, spring onions, tomato and avocado or turbot with grilled Mediterranean vegetables and tiny croquette potatoes. There is always local meat, too from Calenick Farm a few miles away which might take the form of beef sirloin served with Yorkshire pudding, Savoy cabbage, and fondant potato. Desserts including Dark chocolate mousse, passion fruit sorbet are a real treat. .
