There’s just ten seats in Harry and Caroline Hallam’s award winning restaurant, making it one of the smallest in the world. That’s not surprising when you learn it’s located in the couple’s own Georgian house. But there’s nothing small about the ambitions of the cooking here. Chef Harry Hallam sources high quality ingredients for his menu that offers two choices at each stage. Canapes such as tomato and feta tarts might be followed by wild Scottish smoked salmon served with a vodka flavoured crème fraîche, Avruga (herring) caviar and a punchy mango relish with lime, ginger and basil. Mains might include gamey teal with savoy cabbage and chestnuts or the freshest of fish in the form of wild halibut with a Sauternes sauce.
