Former Mallory Court chef Adam Fellows and wife Martine run this two storey operation made up of a deli/patisserie downstairs and restaurant above connected by a spiral staircase. Seafood is chef Adam’s strong point which he prepares with skill in his tiny kitchen. Despite the inland city location, he sources mackerel to put in a tart with a tapenade and tomato confit, while halibut gets a citrus and herb crust. You may also find tuna carpaccio or skate terrine with smoked salmon on a six course tasting menu. The restaurant also offers a set-price menu and a short a la carte. Naturally patisserie features among the desserts, perhaps a peach tart, alongside British farmhouse cheeses.
