Fischers at Baslow Hall

Expect gastronomic fireworks at this stone house restaurant with rooms from Head Chef Rupert Rowley and his highly-skilled team who are serious in both intent and execution. Now coming up to its 20th year, Fischer’s Baslow Hall, hard by the Chatsworth Estate, with its swagged curtains, antiques and fine glassware, offers local and regional ingredients served with panache. Derbyshire beef comes with wild mushroom ravioli, rabbit loin is partnered with a langoustine reduction and brill with clam risotto and parsnip puree. The six course tasting menu offers classical combinations such as foie gras and venison. A blood orange and nougat parfait or terrine of mango sorbet might bring a memorable meal to a finish.
