Fat Olives

A 17th century fisherman’s cottage close to Emsworth Harber, Fat Olives is light, modern and airy with a small walled courtyard that adds a further charming dimension. Expect to find local ingredients including rabbits, game, wild fish and foraged food on innovative chef Lawrence Murphy's often -changing menu. Start with tuna carpaccio, kohlrabi salad and seaweed salsa and scallops with butternut squash and chorizo followed by local organic lamb with leeks, black olives and red wine jus or lemon sole with asparagus and its velouté. Pimms jelly or white chocolate pannacotta with strawberries and Champagne are your just desserts. Excellent service by Julia Murphy and an accessible wine list add to the enjoyment of a meal here.
