Enjoy a pre-dinner drink on the terrace overlooking the gardens of this Georgian town house, close to Hereford cathedral. The bright, elegant and newly refurbished dining room features large, well spaced table dressed with linen and table skirts that are in keeping with the opulence of the enterprise. Chef Claire Nicolls' regularly changing dinner menu might begin with a refreshing, Mediterranean inspired bowl of vine tomato and spring vegetable broth served with olive and Parmesan polenta and continue in a similar vein with seared tuna loin, tomato salsa, braised little gem and roast aubergine puree. There’s plenty of variety however; a more robust plate of local Hereford beef fillet comes with earthy ceps, saute new potatoes and watercress puree.The hotel also has a Bistro open all day for lighter meals, coffees and afternoon tea.
