Buckland Manor

This 13th century stone manor house is surrounded by manicured grounds that contain streams, waterfalls and even the odd tennis court or two. Its so delightful that the men won’t mind popping on a jacket and tie to take their seat in the grand dining room with its views of rolling Cotswold hills. Much of the fruit, herbs and vegetables on the menu come from the Manor's garden or from the nearby Vale of Evesham so expect to see English asparagus when in season served with poached free range hens egg and hollandaise sauce. Fine ingredients are generally allowed to speak for themselves without too much attendant filigree; saddle of Cotswold venison is simply roasted and served with beetroot gratin, baby onions and a juniper berry sauce.
