From the first bite of homemade knotted onion rolls to the last sip of excellent espresso, everything here impresses. A signature smoked duck starter comes with an addictive foie gras soup and an impossibly light foie gras mousse. A beautifully trimmed, thick slab of brill is gently poached to perfection and comes with a delicious cockle, sweetcorn and saffron chowder that doesn't overwhelm the delicate fish. Co-owner Faith Hawkins patrols the restaurant’s seven tables with professionalism balanced by a wicked sense of humour.
