A busy high street in Leeds is not the most obvious of places to find one of the country's most exciting and innovative restaurants. Once inside the elegantly spare lower floor dining room you'll quickly forget about the stresses of city life and succumb to el Bulli trained chef Anthony Flinn's surprising creations. The signature risotto of white onion, espresso and Parmesan 'air' (a kind of foamy sauce) may sound bizarre, but its actually a carefully considered combination that works. The invention doesn't let up at the dessert stage either where a vanilla and malt cake is paired with parsnip and chocolate jelly. The list of artisinal beers includes Deus which is fermented in the bottle just like Champagne.
