Overview

Pendragon Country House is an enchanting and elegant residence offering luxury accomodation in our simply sumptuous surroundings. Constructed in 1870 for the Bishop of Truro. This five star gold award property nestles in the centre of beautifully manicured grounds and is approached by its own sweeping driveway leading to ample off road parking. Boasting an exciting history with many respected individuals having stayed here over the years. All bedrooms are individually decorated and furnished with quality antiques and rich luscious fabrics. Immerse yourself in an elegant, yet informal, warm and welcoming environment. Dinner is served around 8.00pm with a choice of 1 to 4 courses and a menu of the day prepared from locally produced high quality ingredients. It will be seasonally sensitive British home-cooked fare, with influences from Europe and around the world. Enjoy a pre or post drink from the fully licensed bar or the honesty bar.

Reviews

A first-class country hotel masquerading as a B&B. The house is well appointed, superbly furnished and exceptionally comfortable. Sharon and Nigel are wonderful hosts - from the genuinely warm welcome, superb service and attention to detail in every respect. Plus, quite excellent food. 'Probably the best full English (Cornish) breakfast in the world'.

Excellent accommodation, including a fully kitted out ground floor disabled room which our mum who has serious mobility issues found very comfortable. Excellent home cooked bread, jam, cakes, biscuits, all meals home cooked and sourced locally, best breakfasts ever. Excellent hospitality, Sharon and Nigel were exceptionally hospitable.

Food exceptional; service friendly, observant and thoughtful but not in your face; room not too hot; decor and linen tasteful; shared spaces that felt like a home; lovely garden. As much help and advice with things to do and places to visit as you wanted, supported by offer of lifts to pick up points for walks, or from the station.

I came back for my second visit using a family get together as an excuse. Again we all had a fantastic time, perfect service, home made food and a terrific atmosphere. I cant thank you all enough for the wonderful time we had. many thanks again, Arthur.

Extremely welcoming, very homely. Happy to have our dog as well. Very comfortable rooms, high standard of furnishing and service. Fabulous food cooked to order, with catering for us (3 courses) on 3 nights. Local ingredients and room supplies. Wonderful people.

A very friendly well run Country Guest House. The rooms were large and well furnished with full attention given to every detail. The meals were excellent, especially evening dinners. A very enjoyable stay that I'm sure will be repeated.
