Jersey Museum presents history from 250,000 years ago when the first people arrived in Jersey and continues through the centuries to explore the factors that have shaped this unique island and the people who live here. Jersey Museum is extending the Battle of Jersey exhibition featuring John Singleton Copley’s famous painting, The Death of Major Peirson. This portrayal of the Battle of Jersey is without doubt the most iconic work of art in the hearts and minds of Islanders and will form the centre of an enthralling sound and light show.

An exhibition highlighting some of the beautiful garments from the textile collections of Jersey Heritage. Christening Robes and cloaks, Wedding outfits worn by Jersey people from the mid 19th Century to present day and elaborately embroidered mourning clothes.

The first recorded Advent Calendar as we know them today was made in 1851; today Jersey Heritage continues the long tradition by creating a large scale Advent Calendar. 24 fantastic pictures made by local Churches & Sunday Schools will be chosen to tell the Christmas story and a new picture will be revealed each day until Christmas Eve.
