Newport Museum & Art Gallery


Newport Museum & Art Gallery is situated in a modern purpose built building and houses collections of British paintings, watercolours and contemporary prints. Displays include archaeology, local history along with objects and documents relating to the Chartist Rising of 1839. Also on display is the Iris & John Fox collection of over 40 items of Wemyss ware together with the John & Elizabeth Wait collection of over 300 teapots. Special events are held throughout the year.
