Top Ten Art Galleries in Scotland by Ian Sclater

"Behind the imposing pillars of its neoclassical home in the heart of the city, the Gallery of Modern Art, or GoMA, shows cutting edge work by local and international artists in a series of spacious, airy rooms. The entrance is guarded by an equestrian statue of the Duke of Wellington, who almost permanently wears a traffic cone at a jaunty angle."

Top Ten Art Galleries in Scotland by Ian Sclater

"The Scottish National Gallery is home to the national collection of fine art, one of the finest in the world. Works span the early Renaissance to the late 19th century and include masterpieces by Raphael, El Greco, Velázquez, Rubens, van Gogh, Monet, Cézanne, Degas and Gauguin. The most comprehensive part covers the history of Scottish painting."
