Bradford Industrial Museum & Horses At Work

Bradford Industrial Museum, built in 1875 and the original spinning mill, is alive with magnificent machinery which once converted raw wool into the world´s worsted cloth. It is the home of the Horses At Works and the mill yard rings to the sound of iron on stone as the Shire horses give rides, pull a horse tram or haul a horse-bus. In the mill, you can experience the sounds and smells of the engines which once powered the mills throughout Yorkshire. Moorside House, home of the original mill owner, is nearby and furnished as it would have been at the turn of the century.
