York Art Gallery

The new-look York Art Gallery opened in 2005 with its nationally acclaimed permanent collections representing over 600 years of British and European Art. On display are works by Lely, Reynolds, Lowry, Nash, Bellotto and Boudin. Also an extensvie collection of British watercolours, drawings and prints, mostly of York and North Yorkshire. A programme of special events and exhibitions are held throughout the year.
