Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens

At the Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens, the story of Sunderland from its prehistoric past through to the present day is told by hands-on exhibits and interactive displays. The Art Gallery shows paintings by L S Lowry alongside Victorian masterpieces and artefacts from the four corners of the world. Also a look at traditional industries including shipbuilding, coal mining, pottery, glass and textile crafts through to the prehistoric, medieval and 20th century history of the City. The natural world is explored through stunning wildlife displays.
