Ayscoughfee Hall Museum & Gardens
Ayscoughfee Hall Museum is a grade I listed medieval town house on the banks of the River Welland. Built in 1451, it is now the main exhibit of a refurbished and reinterpreted museum. The history and redevelopment of this amazing building is fully explained alongside fantastic examples of Georgian and Victorian architecture and design. To accompany this, the story of the Fens is told from the earliest appearance of humans in this area through to the present day. Ayscoughfee also houses the Geest Gallery, a temporary exhibition space with a lively programme of changing displays.
