City Museum & Records Office


City Museum & Records Office is dedicated to local history, `The Story of Portsmouth´ display room settings showing life in Portsmouth from the 17th century to the 1950s. Experience the different life-styles from the working poor to the affluent `Victorian Parlour´ along with a 1930s `Art Deco´ dining room and a 1950s front-room complete with flying ducks on the wall. The Museum has a fine and decorative art gallery with a temporary exhibition gallery and regular changing exhibitions. The Record Office contains the official and parish records of the City of Portsmouth from the 14th century, where you can research your family history.
