Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum


The Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum is in a Victorian villa, built and furnished by Sir Merton and Lady Annie Russell-Cotes. It was gifted to Bournemouth in 1908 and is of architectural and historic importance with a remarkable interior. The diverse collections include British fine art, world famous Victorian art, Japanese art and ethnographic objects. Also on display are sculptures, furniture and decorative art, and a children´s art gallery called `Stories, Voices, Journeys´.

Opening Times: Tue to Sun 10:00-17:00. Closed Mon, Good Friday and 25 Dec.
Admission: Free.
Location: On the cliff top overlooking the sea. Five minute walk from the town centre to the east.
