Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery


Old Tullie House is a 17th century town house of character, with a fine classical faade. Inside are are some early features including a Jacobean staircase and a panelled Drawing Room displaying key artworks by the pre-Raphaelites that includes works by Rossetti and Burne-Jones. Other rooms feature a magnificent porcelain collection, portraits and fine paintings and a childhood gallery. The modern Border Galleries show Carlisle´s exciting history and wildlife with a wealth of objects from prehistoric and Roman times. In the exciting Millennium Gallery unique collections include a stunning display of minerals set on cast glass.
