The Charlestown Shipwreck & Heritage Centre is a Cornwall museum that boasts an extensive range of seafaring-related artefacts, treasures and memorabilia for those interested in the maritime history of Cornwall and Britain. The seaside town of Charlestown itself has always been a seafaring community, once a key part of the China Clay industry, and has numerous tales of shipwrecks and sea rescue. The museum showcases artefacts and exhibitions from many famous eras, including the years of the British Empire, both World Wars and the sinking of the Titanic, for which it actually has on display the 'Heart of the Ocean' necklace as worn by Kate Winslet in the motion picture.
