Gallery Oldham

Gallery Oldham is an award-winning building, opened in 2002. The art collection includes fine watercolours, oil paintings, photography and studio ceramics. The large social history collection represents the lives of local people, from the industrial era of cotton and engineering to the present day. The extensive natural history collection of plants, geology, insects and birds reflects the historic local passion for scientific study. The gallery´s changing exhibition programme features items from the collections alongside touring exhibitions and newly commissioned work. There are regular talks, workshops, events and educational activities and a family friendly programme of exhibitions and activities.
