Lancaster City Museum


Lancaster City Museum is situated in the former town hall and spread over two floors with collections illustrating the history and archaeology of Lancaster and North Lancashire. One of the permanent exhibitions on the upper floor is devoted to the various Lancashire Regiments, displaying military artefacts. Also a chronological display of local life from the past 12,000 years. Paintings decorative arts and furniture are also displayed along with a series of changing exhibitions.
