Astley Hall Museum & Art Gallery
Astley Hall opened as a museum & Art Gallery in 1924, built by the Charnock family in Elizabethan times, it houses some fine oak furniture from the 16th and 17th centuries. The varied collections include a fine 18th century creamware, fine art, contempoary art, glass and the first ever Rugby League Cup. There are up to 10 different exhibitions held each year.
