Beatrix Potter Gallery


Beatrix Potter Gallery has the largest collection of Beatrix Potter´s published work, including most of the original watercolour illustrations and manuscripts from the `Peter Rabbit´ series of little books. Also on display are artefacts and information relating to her life and work. Each year a changing selection of Potter´s work is displayed in the Gallery, which was originally the offices of her husband´s solicitors´ practice. It is largely unaltered since Edwardian times, and is set within the picturesque village of Hawkshead.
