Geevor Tin Mine
At Geevor Mine, walk through 18th century tunnels on a guided tour, see how the extracting and processing of tin actually took place, deep in the ground and far below the sea. Visit the museum with its collection of unusual minerals found underground in Cornwall and the story of mining and the Cornish people. The Miners Dry can be seen almost as it was in 1990 when the last miner left the site. Walk through the Mill and learn how tin concentrate was extracted from the ore brought up from the tunnels. Enjoy a visit to the cafÄ or shop with its array of books, minerals, jewellery and crafts.
