Williamson Art Gallery & Museum


Williamson Art Gallery & Museum is a large purpose built art gallery, opened in 1928 housing the vast majority of Birkenhead´s collection of artistic masterpieces. Permanent displays iclude Victorian oil paintings, English watercolours, Liverpool porcelain and DellaBir Robbia pottery. Also on display are model ships, fine decorative arts and collections on local history and it is part of the Merseyside Embroidery Trail. Throughout the year there is a regular exhibition programme.

Opening Times: All year, Tue to Sun 10:00-17:00. Closed Mon except BH.
Admission: Free.
Location: 20 minute walk from Birkenhead Park or Birkenhead Central Stations; five minute drive from town centre.
