Explore the world and travel through the ages at The Manchester Museum. In the Museum´s 15 galleries you can come face to face with live reptiles, discover Ancient Egypt and lots more besides. There is a year-round programme of special events, ranging from story-telling for under-fives, art and craft workshops for children of all ages, to specialist lectures for adults. The Museum also has an exciting programme of changing exhibitions. The Manchester Museum is part of The University of Manchester, located on Oxford Road.

Opening Times: Tue to Sat 10:00-17:00, Sun, Mon & BH 11:00-16:00. Closed Good Friday. Xmas Opening: 27 Dec 11:00-16:00. Closed 23-26 & 30 Dec & 1 Jan 08.
Admission: Free.
Location: One mile south of Manchester City Centre on the campus of the University of Manchester. The nearest train station is Oxford Road.
