Grosvenor Museum


The Grosvenor Museum houses Chester´s biggest collection of its local and international history, spread over three floors of a classic 19th century building. In the Roman cemetery is a world-renowned genuine tombstone collection. Also on display are period rooms from the 1600s, regional history photography, costume displays and an insight into the wildlife of the area. Important works from Chester´s silversmiths is also on display together with paintings, sculpture and furniture. There is a programme of lively temporary exhibitions and events.
