Milton Keynes Gallery

Milton Keynes Gallery, known as MK G, is the city´s purpose-built gallery for temporary exhibitions of international contemporary art. Since opening in October 1999, it has quickly established itself as an important addition to the British network of contemporary art venues. Acclaimed for its innovative programme, it presents 6-8 exhibitions a year, with work in a wide variety of media by emerging and established artists. For its 5th birthday MK G held a major exhibition of new work by Michael Craig-Martin, including a commission for the building exterior which is now an eye-catching landmark artwork in itself. MK G has an emerging offsite programme and offers regular talks and events, including free art activities at the `Saturday Art Trolley´ for kids ages 4-12.
