Chiltern Open Air Museum

The Chiltern Open Air Museum was founded in 1976 and has since rescued more than 30 historic buildings by re-erecting them on the 45 acre site of woods and parkland. All buildings can be found in their appropriate setting and contain artefacts associated with them, including a working 19th century farmyard with a village green, cottages, forge and chapel. Learn about the methods and materials used to build them and experience the heritage of the Chilterns.
