Harbour Museum


The Harbour Museum opened in 1995, is situated in the former Londonderry Port and Harbour Commissioner´s Office, built in 1882. Collections on display include architectural drawings, maps, plans of the city and archaeological finds. The highlight of the museum is the 30ft `Iona Curragh´, a replica of the curragh used by St Columba to sail to Iona in 563. Regular temporary and travelling exhibitions are held.
