Swansea Museum

The Swansea Museum is the oldest museum in Wales that opened in 1841 and houses a diverse range of collections reflecting the passions of the Victorian founders. The Museum displays an exceptional collection of objects from an Egyptian mummy to a Welsh kitchen. Also on display is a collection of Swansea China and many other items that tell the story of Swansea´s past. Throughout the year many changing temporary exhibitions are held. Nearby are the museums floating exhibits, a lightship, steam tug and Bristol channel pilot cutter, plus the tram centre with Mumbles train exhibits.
