National Roman Legion Museum
At the National Roman Legion Museum discover how almost 2000 years ago the Roman Empire dominated the civilised world - Wales was its furthest outpost. In AD 75 a fortress was founded at Caerleon and the Museum is inside what remains, and includes the most complete amphitheatre in Britain. On display are a large number of objects that show how they lived, slept and ate, how they marched and prepared for battle and which gods they worshipped.
