Museum of Flight


The Museum of Flight is home to Scotland´s national aviation collection and one of the most famous sites in world aviation history. Discover some of the most extraordinary machines in the world that map the development of human flight. Based at historic East Fortune Airfield, this was the launch site of the R34 Airship in 1919, the first aircraft to cross the Atlantic, east to west. The impressive collection has over 50 complete aircraft, engines, aircraft parts and models. Now home to Scotland´s Concorde which you are able to board, along with a range of displays charting its development. Part of the National Museums of Scotland.

Opening Times: Daily Apr to Oct 10:00-17:00, Nov to Mar 11:00 to 16:00 Weekends only. Closed 25, 26 Dec and 1 Jan.
Admission: Adult £5.00, Child (12 and under) Free, Concessions £4.00. NMS Members Free. On board tours of Concorde must be booked in advance (Tickets Adult £3.00, Child £2.00, Concession £2.00).
Location: 20 miles east of Edinburgh.
