Royal Armouries Museum

The Royal Armouries is Britain“s oldest national museum. The displays are intended to entertain, stimulate a desire to learn, and provide a multi-layered experience to cater for the many different interests and interest levels of our visitors. There are over 8000 exhibits to see in our five themed galleries: War, Tournament, Oriental, Hunting and Self Defence. Costumed demonstrations, authentic re-enactments, entertaining films and interactive technology all give a true sense of history and throughout the year, live performances put you in the midst of the action. from April to October we recreate jousting tournaments in the tiltyard.
