Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery
Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery was opened in 1885 and is home to one of the world´s largest collections of pre-Raphaelite art, with works by Rossetti, Ford Madox Brown and Holman Hunt. It also hosts a fine collection of 18th and 19th century art, silver, sculpture, ceramics and archeology. The modern and contemporary collections are now housed in the Waterhall Gallery at the rear of the museum. As well as paintings there are excellent collections of jewellery, pottery and ironwork. The Gas Hall has an ever changing range of temporary exhibitions throughout the year.
