Banbury Museum

Banbury´s stunning new canal-side museum. Exciting modern `hands-on´ displays tell of Banbury´s origins and historic past. The Civil War; the plush manufacturing industry; the Victorian market town; costume from the 17th century to the present day; Tooley´s Boatyard and the Oxford Canal are just some of the subjects illustrated in the new museum. Tooley´s Boatyard is an historic working boatyard and Scheduled Ancient Monument that adjoins the museum. Regular guided tours of the working dry dock, forge and machine workshop are available as well as boat trips, boat trips, boat repair services, chandlery and gifts. There are always new things to do, and new things to see at Banbury Museum.
