The Bowes Museum


With its wonderful history and outstanding collections there is always something to inspire at The Bowes Museum. One of the most important museums outside London, it contains the greatest collection of European fine and decorate arts in the North of England. New for Spring 2009 is a stunning Silver and Metals Gallery, to be followed by a fabulous Textiles and Dress Gallery. The major exhibition for Summer 2009 is Toy Tales, charting 60 years of BBC Children's television favourites. The acclaimed Café Bowes, Gift shop, Entrance Hall and visitor amenities are also being enhanced to ensure a quality day out for all.
