Museum of Army Flying
The Museum of Army Flying: Flying Soldiers! The heroic story of the army in the air from 19th century observation balloons to attack helicopters! The Museum is home to a national collection of military kites, World War 2 gliders, aeroplanes and helicopters. With imaginative displays and dioramas the museum traces the development of army flying from pre World War 1 to today´s modern army Air Corps. Situated right next to a busy working airfield, this museum has over 35 historic aircraft on display plus a replica 1940´s house, cinema, simulator, rifle ranges, shop, restaurant, childrens´ centre, picnic space and plenty of free parking for coaches and cars.
