The Gurkha Museum

The Gurkha Museum is situated in the former Rifle Depot at Peninsula Barracks. The Museum commemorates the services of the Gurkhas to the British Crown since 1815. Most of the collections tell the story of their service during many wars and campaigns. The exhibits are in chronological order and include uniforms, badges, medals, weapons and war trophies. Also on display are pictures, silver, maps and other regimental artefacts. There is much about the history and geography of Nepal, its people, their language, culture, arts and customs. The Gallery is also used for exhibitions and reunions.
