Cheddleton Flint Mill
Beside the Caldon canal. Two water wheels on the River Churnet drive flint-grindingpans in the two mills. Museum collection of machinery used in the preparation of materials for the ceramic industry. This includes a 100hp Robey horizontal steam engine, model Newcomen bean engine, edg-runner mill. Display panels explain the process of winning and treating clays, stone and flint for the pottery industry.
