Milton Keynes Gallery
Milton Keynes Gallery is the city´s purpose-built gallery for exhibitions of international contemporary art. Now considered an important addition to the British network of contemporary art venues, it is acclaimed for its innovative programme. This features both emerging and established artists, including some, such as Phil Collins and Cathy Wilkes who have gone on to be shortlisted for the Turner Prize following their shows in Milton Keynes. Visitors can expect to see work in a wide variety of media and occasionally exhibitions by 'modern' historical artists such as Marcel Broodthaers or James Lee Byars. The gallery programmes many related talks and events, including free art activities at the `Saturday Art Trolley´ suitable for children ages 4-12. Limited edition prints commissioned by artists who have shown at the Gallery are available from the Gallery Shop.
