MK Gallery

MK Gallery is the city´s purpose-built gallery for exhibitions of international contemporary art. Its free, regularly changing exhibition programme includes both emerging and established artists. Past exhibitors such as Phil Collins and Cathy Wilkes have gone on to be shortlisted for the Tate Turner Prize following their shows in Milton Keynes. Visitors can expect to see work in a wide variety of media and occasionally exhibitions by 'modern' historical artists; past examples have included Marcel Broodthaers, James Lee Byars and Nasreen Mohamedi. The gallery offers many exhibition related talks and family friendly events, and the more experimental strand of weekly Thursday 'Scratch Nights'events plus 'Friday Night Films', all detailed on the gallery's website. Limited edition prints commissioned by artists who have shown at the Gallery are available to purchase online or from the Gallery Shop.
