Horniman Museum & Gardens
The Horniman Museum & Gardens, are housed in Townsend´s stunning Arts and Crafts building which has outstanding collections illustrating the natural and cultural world. The Museum has three main collections - World Cultures (Ethnography), Natural History and Musical Instruments. The Music Gallery houses Britain´s largest collection of musical instruments from around the world with over 7000 on display, World Cultures in the Centenary Gallery feature over 80000 objects including the largest African mask and in the Natural History Gallery there are many original specimens from the Victorian age.
