National Army Museum
At the National Army Museum, discover the colourful story of the British Army and how the men and women who have served in it have lived and fought, from the middle ages, through two world wars, to the present day. Find out the facts behind some of the most remarkable episodes in Britain“s history and the experiences of the people involved. Displays include a huge model of the Battle of Waterloo, a reproduction of a First World War trench and see the lamp used by Florence Nightingale. Also on display are portraits by Reynolds and Gainsborough, maps, letters and documents. The Museum holds regular temporary exhibitions and events.
