Lime Wood is set in the heart of the New Forest National Park, 1.5 miles from the small town of Lyndhurst and just an hour and a half drive from London. We like to think of ourselves as a luxury country house hotel with a difference. We've used Lime Wood's classical structure as the basis of our design but we've lovingly renovated it with a fresh approach, reviving its architecture and grounds. We've kept the spirit of its past, taken inspiration from its extraordinarily beautiful surroundings and added the odd contemporary twist to bring it to life. It was five exciting years in the making and the results are a rich collaboration of creative talent at its best. The architectural parts were designed by Charles Morris and Ben Pentreath, to which interiors have been added by David Collins and food by our head chef Luke Holder. Combined with immaculate service and facilities, we're thrilled to be the only 5 star luxury hotel in the New Forest National Park. With its proximity to London, it really is the ultimate countryside getaway; weekend break, dash from the city, escape from home, whatever your motivations, we can't wait to show you around.

Ten Places for a Perfect Weekend in Hampshire by Natalie French
"Sleep... This indulgent heritage hideaway at the heart of the New Forest is a little bit sexy. Despite the lavish appearance, there is no need to stand on ceremony – which is exactly why Lime Wood appeals. Here, you can don your dressing gown and smugly sip bubbles on your topiary adorned terrace and no one will bat an eyelid. Opt for a Coach House suite, situated over two floors, with shabby-chic interior, perfectly plumped pillows and a bath big enough for three."

One of the best/fantastic hotels we've stayed in for the past 5 years or so and due to my job I stay in some of the best hotels around the world. Love the new restaurant with Angela Hartnett too!!
