The Pear Tree at Purton hotel, formerly the Vicarage, is an elegant Cotswold stone building set in seven acres. On the outskirts of the Saxon village of Purton, nestling in the Vale of the White Horse between the Cotswolds and the Marlborough Downs. Each of the seventeen individually decorated rooms and suites is named after a character associated with the village of Purton. For example Anne Hyde, the mother of Queen Mary and Queen Anne. In the elegant Conservatory Restaurant the food has been the recipient of many awards, including 2 Rosettes from the AA and the RAC´s Blue Ribbon for excellence.
