Wow!

The most expensive hotel we have ever stayed in ...... but in my opinion worth every penny.

The food is, of course, outstanding but what stood out to me more was the service. The staff literally couldn't do enough for you.

We loved every single minute and it was a shame we only stayed one night.

Everything about here is amazing from the moment you pull up in the car park... It's breath taking almost magical. In the words of one of the staff made anything is possible. Every single staff member we came into contact with gave impeccable service and knowledge but personal and attentive. We had our one-year-old with us too at lunch and she was looked after just as much as us. The food is amazing the grounds are stunning. The most amazing birthday ever ... Turning 30 isn't so bad Thankyou for making our visit so memorable

The whole experience was certainly one to savour. Cannot fault the location, room, service, ambience and the food experience will leave a lasting memory. We managed a photo opportunity with Mr Blanc and he has charisma, wit and he is clearly passionate about what he has achieved, its infectious through his staff too.

Take time out to walk around the gardens. as they rarely get a mention. Truly beautiful and a photo opportunity at every turn.

Share with loved ones... Forget the price, its all about the memories.

The best hotel we have ever experienced. Surroundings facilities staff and food were absolutely superb. Took the tour round the garden - excellent. The icing on the cake, we met Monsieur Blanc who was charming and made time to chat. The perfect end to a perfect stay.

In May we spent one night in Great Milton and stayed at this hotel. Every corner is spectacular and everything is perfectly taken care of. Spending a day here is a real treat. The setting is very nice and everything seems drawn out of a fantasy story.

This is somewhere we have always wanted to visit (my wife burst into tears of joy when she opened her card to discover the booking had been made). I booked the celebration "package" which included dinner, bed and breakfast plus extras such as champagne, roses and chocolates etc in a lovely garden suite.

It was truly a perfect experience and worth every penny. The room was spacious and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, the grounds delightful and the food was to die for. We particularly enjoyed walking around the vegetable and herb gardens, discovering new and interesting varieties (oyster leaves for example) then sampling them within the seven course tasting menu later that night.

I would say this is a once in a life time essential experience - however, having said that, it is my "significant birthday" next year!

Visited here last week with my wife for her 40th birthday.

The venue is stunning, with amazing gardens and surroundings. Well worth getting there early to have a wander around.

We were served drinks on the lawn before dinner and then taken through to our table where we both chose the 7 course tasting menu. One of the courses we could not eat and they were more than happy to let us have another course from the a la Carte menu as a substitute.

The food was well worth the 2 Michelin stars that Raymond blanc has got here. I could not fault it in any way. We had a bottle of champagne as it was a special occasion and they have a sommelier to help choose the right tipple.

The service was perfect - there really is no other words for it.

Do not hesitate to go if you have a special occasion to celebrate or just want to have an amazing meal.

As you would expect, the very attentive, but not intrusive staff were well trained and professional. Good service, lovely room, excellent dinner. Classy toiletries, which you are invited to take home. Fruit, champagne and water provided in the room. We had to ask for tea and coffee making equipment, but this was delivered promptly. Gorgeous gardens....so nice to see all the produce growing.

Utterly brilliant execution of one man's vision. I was afeared that it would be terribly stuffy and pretentious, even bought a new suit (and I don't wear suits!) but was totally relaxed and laid back. Amazing staff, utterly professional. Outstanding food and building and grounds beautifully cared for. We will go back every three months. The wine list is amazing, but the 'wine flight' simplifies the whole ordering/choice process. We are in a similar business and are incredibly 'picky' when away. Le Manoir was faultless and we loved the whole experience, it simply could not have been improved. We shall go back every three months!

What a wonderful environment Raymond Blanc and his team have created. From the moment the lovely old building came into to view until we left everything was just about perfect. Our room (Jade) was huge, comfortable and impressive, the staff were a delight and the food amazing without being too over the top trendy. Do be sure to take a look around the gardens and in particular the vegetable area from which much of the produce for the fantastic quinine comes. Yes all this comes at a price but for us it was well worth it.

Highly recommended for your Wedding! It is a wonderful magical place and you will not be disappointed - married there in July 2009 - and returned for first anniversary. The service is second to none - first class- the cuisine is scrumptious and a complete delight! If you have food intolerances then there is no problem here. Our wedding cake was absolutely spectacular- the accommodation and reception rooms were airy luxurious and relaxing. It is the complete package - it is unique - the people are simply lovely - and the standard is very high - a part of my heart is there

A very special family occasion and could not have been a better choice. The gardens are beautiful. After our walk around the gardens we sat outside for pre-dinner drinks, sampling canapés. Dinner was a dining feast. The staff are both knowledgeable and kindly attentive.

My husband and I were given lunch as a ruby wedding gift from our family. We drove down from Edinburgh and we have to say it was worth every minute of the journey .
From the moment you arrive you are welcomed by staff who make you feel that you are special
After coffee, we had a tour of the garden with Jonny one of the head gardeners.
Our eyes could not take in all the beauty of the gardens and we went back the next morning to take photos and just relive our tour.
Champagne and canapies before lunch and a talk from Raymond Blanc who just oozes his passion for everything about Le Manoir .
Lunch was an explosion of flavours in all 4 courses , everything fresh and beautifully presented. Outstanding
We can not praise the staff ,food ,suroundings and Raymond Blanc highly enough .

Put this wonderful hotel and restaurant on your bucket list! It's an experience from the moment you walk in the door. The staff are there to anticipate your every wish. The rooms are individually decorated and have every luxury imaginable - down to a Christmas tree! The food is as good as reported - maybe better! The gardens are beautiful. The public rooms welcoming and comfortable. During the pre dinner aperitif we were entertained by a magician - who performed tricks that left our mouths open! It's a must stay for all food and luxury lovers.

I booked this as a surprise for our 25th wedding anniversary, initially I just booked the restaurant but I was concerned that after such a wonderful meal it would be a let down to stay anywhere else so I then booked an overnight stay.
This was the best decision I have made. This is a wonderful place for any celebration, the team are amazing from the moment you arrive. The meal was outstanding, the timing of every course was perfect. We stayed in the Emily room which is incredible and we have already rebooked.

We spent Christmas at Le Manoir this being a surprise retirement treat for me, arriving on Christmas Eve and departing on Boxing day. We stayed in the Mimosa room which was beautifully presented complete with it's own Christmas tree. The festive menus were exquisite and absolutely delicious and the service impeccable. Christmas Eve dinner consisted of canapes in the lounge followed by a lavish six course meal which was well paced. As each course was served the waiter gave a detailed explanation of the culinary delights before us. Christmas lunch was fantastic once again commencing with champagne and canapes and then an eight course meal. By the time our main course arrived ( course five) l was beginning to feel rather full but l'm no quitter so managed to finish all eight!! A big thankful to all the management, chefs and staff who made this occasion so very special.

We stayed for 2 nights just after new year with our 3 children, all under 12 years. I was a little worried that young children were possibly not the 'norm' at a magnificent hotel like this, and we didn't see many other children whilst we were there, but my worries were unfounded. From the moment we arrived, they were made to feel welcome, and each had a teddy on their bed, with a personalized note attached. We stayed in Provence, which had a separate lounge and dining room, the children's beds were placed between the couch and dining room table, but we still had plenty of space. We even had our own Christmas tree! The children were supplied with a box of brand new toys and beautiful books. The staff throughout our stay were faultless, unobtrusive and yet there when we needed them. Our children came to breakfast with us, there was a lovely buffet plus a la carte menu to choose from. Food was delicious. For dinner however, the hotel arranged a babysitter for us - she was really lovely, and our children liked her -the children had in-room dining about an hour before we went to the restaurant, and their food was so delicious we were tempted to have some. we then headed off to the lounge for an aperitif and some light (delicious) canapés, and had a chance to look through the menu. The first night we chose the 5 course menu with wine pairing - every single course was absolutely delicious, and the wine to match was perfect too. We were very full afterwards! the second night we chose the a la carte menu, with wine recommendations from the sommelier. Once again, the food was sublime and wine pairing perfect. The buildings and grounds are magnificent, our children loved wandering around them with us and really enjoyed looking for all the sculptures. It was overall a fantastic and relaxing stay, we will definitely be back, with all 3 kids again!

I took my wife here for her birthday and I can say it is perfect the attention to detail is incredible. Nothing is too much trouble the staff are very well trained and clearly enjoy what they do and are very proud of the hotel, the gardens and the food.
If you stay here you almost take for granted the standard of cuisine but it surpassed our idea of what a 2* Michelin would be like.
RB is building a legacy for which he should be very proud, the gardens and the new orchard will be here for future generations to enjoy!
The rooms are very tastefully decorated as are all the public rooms.
This place deserves all the praise it gets on tripadvisor and we cant wait to go back.
Probably the best place we have ever stayed at.

Before you die, you HAVE to have eaten at Le Manoir. The food is just divine, the service is personal and the whole experience is just out of this world! We dined from the 7 course tasting menu and there really are no words to explain how wonderful it was, other than my title, exquisite!

Everything here is sublime, from your welcome right through to the moment you leave you are continually treated like you matter. I eat out a lot and it is actually extremely rare to have that feeling. The food is exceptional, the setting, utterly beautiful and it is definitely something you should do at some point if you are a foodie. There are restaurants where you pay a lot of money and feel it wasn't worth it at all. Here, you feel like you had great value.

We had an instructive conducted tour of the gardens and were impressed with the dedication to natural cultivation processes and conservation. Took the family here to celebrate our Golden Wedding, and it could not have been better. We all (5 of us) opted for the 5-course dinner, which was exquisite. One of our party is allergic to eggs, and they went out of their way to accommodate this, providing alternative dishes where necessary, of more than comparable quality and standard. A nice touch at the end was a little addition to my wife's dessert - an edible plaque saying Happy Anniversary.
It's expensive, yes, but it's something really rather special, too, and well worth it for the experience.
We've dined here before, on rare occasions, and they remembered!

Booked to stay in one of the suites for a night with my wife for her birthday and ordered the degustation menu for dinner - it was all absolutely brilliant. I'm not a foodie but the meal was fantastic. Service is just the right balance of explaining what you're eating (if you want them to) and leaving you to enjoy it. We will be back

We visited Le Manoir for our 35th wedding anniversary and stayed on the Dining Experience and what an experience! The hotel, the staff, the service, our room, THE FOOD, everything was was delightful. We even had an anniversary card signed by Raymond Blanc waiting in our room along with a gift wrapped cookery book - such a lovely touch. It was a very special experience to celebrate our special day, thank you Team Le Manoir, you're amazing!

Wow!!! What an experience.
The hotel, the staff, the service - nothing was too much trouble.

We stayed in an "Oxford Experience" weekend for 2 nights and had on 5 course and on 7 course Chefs Special dinner, both of which were outstanding.

We also got taken for a tour of the kitchen which was very interesting and the garden are also well worth a wander round, as a lot of the produce is grown in the gardens!!

Well worth a visit for a special romantic weekend away with the other half!!!!

From the moment one arrives... the ambience created to the real reason we are there (the food!) it is sheer perfection.
Before lunch we were treated to a tour of the gardens and grounds which proved to be both informative and extremely interesting.
Luncheon was an absolute delight and I would defy anyone to find fault.
The staff are to be congratulated on their courteous, friendly, attentive nature. Nothing is too much trouble.
It is, without doubt, one of the finest dining experiences you will encounter... anywhere!

The fabulous food, the impeccable service, the rooms that are perfect down to the smallest of detail - these things are well documented and we certainly found no reason to disagree. So what else made it so memorable for us ?

Firstly, it was the generosity of spirit of the whole establishment - the standard response to any request was " of course sir " and you felt as if it was meant. Guests are addressed by name , not referred to by room number, immediately personalizing service, making you and your needs the most important thing.
The sheer beauty of everything from the minute you arrived, was quite amazing.The gardens, the sculptures, the room decorations, all had the feel of being individually selected by someone who loved and appreciated the environment. It felt like Raymond Blanc's personal mission, but one he wanted you to share and enjoy too. And we certainly did !

So yes, the food, the rooms, the staff, are all wonderful - and the rarely mentioned breakfast is absolutely fabulous too. But it is the warm heart of the Manoir that will stay with me forever. Thank you.

Lunch at Le Manoir was such a wonderful experience. My friend treated us for my 'special' birthday. It was amazing. The surroundings and the attentive service not to mention the truly beautiful food. A treat I'll always remember.

This was booked for a friends 60th birthday and it was an amazing experience, it is such a relaxing atmosphere, nothing is to much bother for anyone, from the first time I phoned and booked to use leaving the staff were so slick and professional, the food is brilliant we had the 7 course taster menu and they catered for my 'no nuts' request excellently. The hotel is furnished to high standards and each of the rooms was different. Love having the turn back service when we are at dinner and they did not disappoint us. Breakfast is fresh and laid out attractively with a great choice. They were able to accommodate our request for a birds of prey experience try it you will not be disappointed, Clive and his birds from Wheatley birds of prey along with Harvey was an experience to remember. The grounds are laid out with lots of nocks and crannies for you to find and enjoy. I just wished we could have stayed longer but we will go back again hopefully before to long.

Without doubt our visit to Le Manoir to celebrate our Ruby wedding anniversary on 25th September, 2016 was the best decision we've made for a very long time.

The experience is an absolute must. From the moment that you enter the car park and a member of staff arrives at your door, unannounced, before the ignition is turned off, too the moment that you leave, you can rest assured that nothing, absolutely nothing, is too much trouble.

The service level is second to none and the staff to guest ratio is the highest that we have experienced anywhere in the world. There is the greatest level of attention paid to every aspect of your stay, and whilst there are so many staff, they are not at all intrusive and just wish to give you the best service that they can (and they succeed in that in every way).

We enjoyed a tour of the kitchens, which as you would expect were absolutely spotless despite so many staff working there. Everybody, without fail, were so accommodating and knowledgeable. We were at no time made to feel as though we were intruding or were a necessary evil - we were made welcome at each and every stage.

All of the facilities are a real pleasure. Every detail has been subject to the highest level of scrutiny, from the exterior decorations to the internal ambiance, tasteful and elegant, restful and relaxing, nothing is left to chance and the attitude of 'That will do', clearly evidenced from every aspect of our stay 'Just will not do!'

Our one regret - simply that we have not visited sooner!

Our next good decision - to return!

Cannot recommend the Manoir highly enough. It is luxury and the best standard of food you can imagine without ever feeling stuffy or uncomfortable. We love it and have been several times now. Already saving up for our next visit.

Everything about this place is class. We stayed in the '' snow queen'' junior suite and it was incredible. We had the most amazing meal which was the 7 course tasting dinner with wine. Breakfast was also wonderful. I really can't emphasise how good this place is and how comfortable every member of staff makes you feel. Special mention to our sommelier Martin from Galway who was fantastic. As I say this is really special.

A truly wonderful stay in beautiful surroundings. We cannot and do not have enough adjectives to describe our stay. From the staff to the room to the food and surroundings it was Brilliant. We would highly recommend a visit.

Think this was our 6th visit over the last few years and yet again they excelled.
From the walk around the beautiful gardens, service and food, it's an experience we will not forget. It's fantastic that people like ourselves that save up to go for a special treat get the same attentive service as those people that may go on a regular basis and drive there in their Rolls Royce cars or fly there in their helicopters.

The service from every member of staff was exceptionally good. Food -Wow -what can we say. Raymond, Gary and staff get the menu just right. My husband is diabetic so they went the extra mile to change some sections of the menu to accommodate him, from the canapés to the petits fours. Our 15 year old daughter just loved going to such a lovely place and to be treated like the young woman she is. Can't wait for the next time.
