Langdon Court Hotel is part of the following Editors' Picks:
"As if the five star standards of Langdon Court were not enough, this 16th century grade II listed hotel, which once played host to Henry VIII and Catherine Parr, is also within an easy stroll of the splendid Wembury Cove. The hotel has wonderful Jacobean grounds nurtured by centuries of well-to-do- families who have lived here and it’s a quick trot from the silent solace of the gardens to the wild and rugged National Trust Coastal Pathway. Take a woodland walk, the sea chinking into view at every turn, or gather the kids for some serious rock pooling (Bill Oddie says Wembury has the best pools for crabs and starfish in the country)."
"This 16th century manor with its walled and Jacobean gardens has a historically romantic ambience and was loved by lovers in the past including Edward VII and Lily Langtrey. Gracious living of times past is evoked in its fine décor and the views of Wembury Beach, a short walk away and ideal for photos with a difference, amazing."
